This Hawaiian name for family is symbolic and a perfect representation of theYong family. Pua and Julie Yong dated for close to 9 years as Continental Airline employees. Upon Pua’s early retirement they became an Ohana in 2005 and were married
in Hawaii.
They became a perfect blended family. Pua’s children then grown (Gary and CiAna) welcomed Julie into the Yong family. Soon thereafter their family grew with the births of Kyle and Makena.
The Yong family relocated to Lynchburg, Virginia from Hawaii in 2018 to be close to family in the area and to now provide authentic Hawaiian BBQ grill food to the local area. Their intent was to locate a food truck and then have the ability to create the food that has been enjoyed by so many Native Hawaiians for generations. It became their mission to develop a business that served the surounding Lynchburg area a menu that provides a fusion of authentic Hawaiian Island grill BBQ and grilled American favorites. Through alot of hard work, amazingly generous people and God's grace THE ALOHA HUT was born to serve both in a Food Truck capacity as well as Catering Service for your special event!

The Aloha Hut is an authentic Hawaiian owned and family operated business. It provides to the community a fusion of authentic Hawaiian Island style grill sandwiches, plates and sides. As well, The Aloha Hut tips the surfboard to the mainland with traditional American burgers, sandwiches and fries.
